Website Guidelines

A registered student organization at Texas State can publish information on the LBJ web server using the following procedures:

  1. Come by the Campus Activities Office information desk at the LBJ Student Center (fourth floor) for authorization forms or print the online authorization form.
  2. After approval by the Campus Activities staff an organization web account and a web alias will be created.
  3. You will be notified via e-mail when the process is completed.
  4. Rules for HTML coding:
    • Make all internal links relative, except those URL's which link to an external server
    • The main or homepage of your web content should be called index.htm
    • HTML filenames should end with htm extensions, not html. An example would be "filename.htm"
    • The sponsor's name and email address should be present on the first page.
    • The disclaimer must be included as a link on your beginning page (index.htm)
  5. For more information, come by the Campus Activities Office to pick up web authorization forms or follow the link below.
  6. Your student organization's internet address will be:
    http://www.studentorgs.txstate.edu/your_organization_name_here
