Important for ALL Pre-Dent Society Members! Subject: Announcing the 2008 Summer Pre-Dental Enrichment Program at Baylor College of Dentistry Good Afternoon to All, It is with pleasure that we announce the 2008 Summer Pre-Dental Enrichment Program (SPEP) at HSC-Baylor College of Dentistry. An application packet should be arriving to your college/university as soon as next week. Unlike other years, we are emailing you ahead to inform you of the prompt arrival of the packet. If you would please carefully read the information provided in the packet so that you may expand the good news to your students whom show an interest in the field of dentistry, and/or to your pre-dental clubs. Included in the packet is an application, brochure and poster (please place poster in strategic place visible to students), if you should need more applications, and/or brochures please feel free to copy them. The 2008 application should be available for download from our website (www.bcd.tamhsc.edu/stddev/spep) by the end of next week. We greatly appreciate your assistance in communicating to your students about our Program. HEY MEMBERS this is from a real D.O.! For general information on osteopathic medical schools you might want to add this site to your web site: American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine http://www.aacom.org/colleges/ This might help explain Osteopathy to those unfamiliar with it and also show the available out of state schools. The manipulative medicine component of Osteopathy is very diminutive relative to the overall general education, which is basically identical to allopathic education. Should someone want to concentrate on manipulative medicine, fellowships are available while an undergraduate.
