Golden Key International Honour Society
Point System
The purpose of the new point system is to provide greater incentive for member participation in our chapter’s activities. It will also serve as a way for us to keep track of participation levels of individual members.
Point Rewarded Activities:
Meeting Attendance 2 points
Bringing a GK member 2 points
to their first meeting
Service Project Participation 5 points
Member Activity Participation 5 points
Helping Officers Set-Up Events 5 points
Writing an article for Concepts Mag. 10 points
Point Rewards:
1. Every 10 points earned will count toward $5 off the purchase of honor chords.
30 points = free honor chords
2. The junior and senior with the most points will each earn at minimum a $100 scholarship, as well as free registration to the International Conference that takes place each summer
Recording of Points:
The officers will have record of your points earned. We will have a page with names for each event or meeting. It will be kept in the Event Record Notebook. You can look in the notebook at any time to see how many points you have.
All the points for the scholarship will be counted in April and will be considering points earned from that entire year (April to April) so that all members have an equal chance of winning either one year or the next. Remember, one Junior and one Senior will receive both the scholarship and the free registration to the New Orleans International Conference, that is about $400 in total value.
Refer to our annual calendar to see what events you can participate in, if you have any questions about the point system you can email Crystal Bushacker at cb1405@txstate.edu.
